The movie, which occurs in the quiet neighbourhood of the barceloneta, tells the story
of two Israelis, that like many of their generation, live away from Israel, seeking for peace and tranquility faraway from the promised land.
One evening, the two friends initiate a delirious search of an Arab boy which according to them have stolen something that belongs to them.
"The movie is the result of a long 6 year period of living outside of Israel, 6 years in which despite
the physical, and emotional distance, I was never able to disconnect myself from what going on back at home".
Every day we get information concerning the conflict in the Middle East, nevertheless it seems that although everybody has an opinion
concerning the subject, still nothing changes.
40 years of military occupation, the "separation wall" is being constructed, Gaza is being destroyed, and generation after another
follow the circle of violence.
Although the conflict is present in media, nothing really changes and the occupation of Palestinian territories continues.
By removing the story from it original context and placing it, in form of parody, in other context, the spectators, is obliged to approximate himself to the conflict between Palestinian and Israeli, and maybe look at himself as if he was Palestinian, or Israeli.
would it be true that only faraway from our land we would be able to live in peace? What would happen if the conflict would arrive to Barcelona? Would it change the curse of things? Or maybe things here, in this part of the world, are quiet the same as in Palestine and Israel?
